Coach Heffner and I were invited by United Renovations to participate in the Living for Zachary’s 5th Annual Incredible HeartRun on October 26.  This event raised over $23,000 to help raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest in youth.

Coach Heffner was the 1st place overall winner of the race.  He ran the 5k in in 18 minutes and 48 seconds.  I came 2nd place overall with a time of  19 minutes and 25 seconds.  I was able to run along side Coach Heffner for the first mile of the race.  After the first mile, he left me in his dust (ha!).

· Total registered runners: approximately 1,000

· Total runners in the largest team, Zach45: 163

· Total runners in the second largest team, Plano East Golden Girls: 77

· Total volunteers: 115

· Total youth screenings offered during the event: 50

· Total red superhero capes worn: 300
