People often question whether or not they should take the time to eat breakfast. However, regularly eating breakfast leads to healthier eating habits.


According to a study completed by the Dairy Research Institute, those who skip breakfast consume 40% more sweets, 55% more soft drinks, 45% fewer vegetables and 30% less fruit than people who eat breakfast.


In addition, a recent study of two weight-loss groups found that the group eating 600 Calories for breakfast lost more body weight than the study group consuming 300 Calories for breakfast.  The researchers saw greater weight loss in the first group and concluded : 1) the 600 Calorie group did not eat as much the remainder of the day and 2) the same group made healthier choices in their food selections throughout the day.
